1. Who we are

Tawaad is a Saudi-licensed platform for halal, structured matrimonial introductions. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).

2. Data we collect

Account: name, email, phone.
Profile: age, city, marital status, traits, preferences.
Photos you choose to upload (view-once protected).
Usage: IP address, browser, sign-in timestamps.
Payment data is handled by our payment provider; we don't store it.

3. Purpose

Show you compatible profiles based on your preferences.
Enable safe communication with users and partner societies.
Improve the platform and your experience.
Prevent fraud, abuse, and protect the community.
Comply with Saudi laws and regulator requirements.

4. Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of your explicit consent at sign-up, the legitimate interest of operating and protecting the platform, and compliance with Saudi law.

5. Sharing

We don't sell your data. We share it only:

With another user after mutual acceptance.
With a partner charity society when you submit a match request through it — strictly the fields needed.
With service providers (hosting, mail, payments) under confidentiality and only to operate the platform.
With authorities upon a valid legal request.

6. Retention

We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we erase your personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law.

7. Your rights

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Withdraw consent or request account deletion at any time.
File a complaint with the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA) if you believe your rights were violated.

8. Security

All traffic is TLS encrypted; passwords are hashed with bcrypt; access controls are strict. No system is perfectly secure — if a breach affects your data we will notify you within 72 hours of detection.
